Hoarding Service

We provide dedicated weekly sessions of 120 minutes (2 hours) with the same trauma-informed hoarding practitioner, typically spanning a minimum of 6 to 16 weeks. This consistent, one-to-one support creates a safe, trusting environment where real and lasting progress can happen at a comfortable pace.

What each session offers:

  • Gradual Trust Building

Regular contact with the same practitioner fosters emotional safety and a strong therapeutic relationship.

  • Cognitive & Emotional Support

Mindset coaching, behavioural strategies, and compassionate guidance help address the underlying challenges of hoarding.

  • Paced Decluttering

Gentle, hands-on assistance sorting possessions while processing emotional attachments and building confident decision-making skills.

  • Progress Tracking

Measurable outcomes that support care plans, tenancy agreements, and safeguarding goals.

Package Inclusions

  • Option for a two-person practitioner team when additional support is required
  • Disposal of up to 6 dry waste bags included per 2-hour visit (within price)
  • Regular progress reports to social      workers or housing officers (subject to service tier)
  • Fully tailored to the individual’s unique needs, circumstances, and goals

Monitoring & Relapse Prevention

Once hoarding levels have been safely reduced, we offer flexible monitoring packages to maintain long-term wellbeing and prevent the space from returning to its previous state.

This ongoing support is a vital part of our trauma-informed, person-centred approach, helping individuals sustain the positive changes they have worked so hard to achieve.

Why Ongoing Support Matters

Hoarding is a chronic condition that cannot be fully resolved through clearance alone. A sudden clear-out can feel like a profound loss and often triggers significant emotional distress.

Without continued guidance, relapse is common and individuals may quickly begin re-accumulating possessions. Our structured weekly programme combined with post-clearance monitoring provides the sustained support needed for lasting change and a calmer, safer living environment.
